VOLUNTEER BAZAAR AT GERALDINE.

The bazaar was continued on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. On the second evening the Hall was packed, Among the other attractions on the former evening was the rendition of the fares “ Ihe Dodger,” by several members of the Rifle corps, This was very well given, and appeared to amuse the audience considerably. The newlyereoted stage had been partitioned off from the body of tbs ball by a drop scene and made a capital room in which to bold tbo theatricals. ' A negro minstrel troop, consisting of Messrs Coltman (cantre-man), Logan, and Stonshonss, with Messrs Kruse and Flemming as Bones and Tambo respectively, rendered some capital songs and cracked some original and sidesplitting jokes, On Thursday evening the farce was repeated, and a waxwork exhibition lield. The room was crowded to excess on each occasion. Ibe maypole dance was also given twice each evening, and wai watched with pleasure by the large crowd present in the ball. In the absence of Mrs Grahams, Mrs Dunlop directed the children in the dance. In addition to the various corps being represented by young ladies in their respective uniforms, there were also two or three -other character dresses, Miss Dunlop represented “ Morning,” wearing upon her forehead a sparkling imitation of the rising son with a dress and veil of light , and airy materials, Miss Millar represented 11 Night,” being dressed in black with a long black veil down her back, studded with silver stars, and a crescent on her forehead. Both looked very effective. Miss E,; Alpress was arrayed as a doll seller, her dress being decked out with a nnmber of little dolls of all descriptions. The business done on both evenings was exceedingly satisfactory, and shortly

before eleven o’clock on Thursday evening Captain Pearpoint stated that the stall keepers and Committee bad decided to open again on the following (Friday) evening at six o’clock. This was done and bj the time the llsll was dosed, the stalls, etc., bad been almost *nip'ied of their large and varied stock of articles. The Volunteers are to be congratulated on the complete success of their bazaar, which was on a scale never before attempted in Gersl dine.
