■London, Oct. 23, Although the Government proclaimed the meeting, the English Home Rule Union hold a demonstration yesterday at Woodford, Mr Wilfred Blunt presided. The police interfered, and arrested Mr Blunt and a number of other prominent members of the Union. Evictions at Wexford are being violently resisted. Three bailiffs were horribly injured by vitriol being thrown over them. Oct. 24. Feeling has been running high at Woodford since the proclamation of the League there, and the police found it necessary to charge a crowd which had assembled, with the result that 30 people were injured.
