Paris, Oct. 18. Th« charge of selling military decorations preferred against General CaffrMl, Assistant Secretary of the War Department, was fully investigated by the Military Council, with the result that that officer has been called upon to retire. General Boulanger having ssaertfld that the Government aimed at him in arraigning General Csffrel', M. Feiron, Minister of War, has ordered General Boulanger to explain his statement. Oct. 16. General Boulanger has admitted a statement imputed to him regarding the action of the Government in arraigning General Cnffrell. M. Ferron, Minister for War, has in consequence placed General Boulanger under close arrest for one month. The question of depriving him of his command will be considered by the Cabinet U'er on. London, Oct. 13. The Time? states tint President G'evy is annoyed at the attacks on M. Wilson, hi* gon-in-law, and may possibly resign.
