The scandal which has arisen here in consequence of the arrest of General Caffrell, Assistant Secretary in the Ww Office, on a charge of selling military decorations is daily growing, owing to fresh arrests being made, showing the existence of great corruption amongst officials holding high positions in the War Offio*. Losdon, Oct. 12. Attempts to implicate Generals 800 l anger, Wilson, and Le Banden in the War Office scandal hare failed. General Banb'an, who is implicated in the War Office scandal, has disappeared, and it i« supposed that he ' has committed suicide. Several society ladies have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in llhe scandal.
