fc London, Oct. 9. The Crown authorities hold that the decision of the Bench in Sullivan's and O'Brien's prosecution will annihilate that section of the Crimes Act intended to restrain the Press from publishing reports of prohibited meeting*. Ihe Irish Loyalist newspapers are condemning the supineness and timidity of the Government in suppressing the agitators of a party defying them, and urging that strong measures are imperative, and that the Executive must either work or resign. Oct. 10. Telegrams fram Ireland state that a number of meetings of the National League took place to-day at Mitchelstown and elsewhere m defiance of the prohibition and exertions of the police to prevent them being held. No serious disturbance is yet reported. Oct. 11. Mr Joseph Chamberlain has left England on a visit to the North of Ireland. It is understood that Mr CbamberUin has undertaken the journey with the objpcfc of promoting Unionism in the Province of Ulster,
