Information has been received by the Wellington police that the absconding schoolmaster, O’Brien; was arrested in Sydney on arrival of the Wakatipu. A constable will be sent across to bring back the fugitive by theHanroto on Wednesday next. Frederick Lindsay Flint, a country man who had been knocking down his money, was committed for trial at Dunedin on Friday for obtaining money by false pretences. Mr J. A.
