THE POLITICAL CRISIS.
Hew Plymouth, Sept. 30. The Hon. Mr Tole was a passenger by the steamer from Auckland this morning, and left by the express train for Wellington. Wellington, Sept. 30.
It is officially announced that Sir Robert Stout has tendered his resignation to His Excellency, and Major Atkinson has been sent for.
All he members of the Government, except the Hon. Mr Tole, have arrived, and a Cabinet meeting is to be held this afternoon. The Hon. Mr B chardson came up from the South contrary to expectation. Ho further information beyond that telegraphed yesterday is available this morning. The Hawea will leave Onehunga at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, calling at Hew Plymouth, Helson and Picton. She will reach here about 2 p.m. on Thursday, A special train for members leaves Hew Plymouth at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, arriving here at 10 p in. Another account says:—“ A meeti*g of the Cabinet was held this morning, a’l the Ministers excepting Mr Tole being present It was resolved to resign at once. The Governor has accepted the resignation and sent for Major Atkinson, who will probably arrive to morrow,”
