MEN, FACTS, PRINCIPLES, AND RESULTS.

TO I'HE EDITOR. Sib,—As a Liberal I cannot but raise my voice at this momentous tiimi in order if possible to induce Liberal men—including business men, farmera, honest working men, and all straight men to vote for the Libera! men. Vote for the principles or' purity, truth, and justice. Remember the voting by ballot, Triennial Governments, and these 3 millions of acres m Canterbury are iu jeopardy, as Mr Turnbull of Timaru tells us, if the Opposition party is put in Therefore Liberal men, I appeal to you again, put in men to legislate for the commou good and a fair tax on all Vote for the men who support Sir Koberfc Stout and ha Government, then we may look for a reign of better times But beware of these Opposition men, be they never so wise, for they are daug-'rous and antagonistic to our best interests. So dou't vote for them, for if you d> you will help to weave the chains to bind you. .Freedom's battle Oice begun, B queatheii from b'eeding sire to son, Though baffled oft is ever won.

Eemember, Liberals, we have it in our power if we are only united. Mr Buxton tells us about these old politicians running the country into the bog. Why, they ought to be ashamed of themselves; and as for the lawyers they are 10 degiees worse, for they took away the key of knowledge, they entered not themselves, and others who were entering they hindered. Bat time would fail me, so remember Liberals and vote for the Liberal men —Mr Twomey and Mr Buxton. Put in these two men who have principles of truth and justice, then we may ex s pect to find good government the result. Yes, as sure as we are blessed with a good climate, we will be blessed with good legislation if you only put the Liberal men in.—l am, etc., A Libbbai.
