Sept. 16. , Wheat is neglected lat Bs Bd. Flour is dull at the following quotations : Town flour, £9 5s to £9 10s ; country brands, £8 5s to £8 10s. ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Sept. 15. At the wool auctions tc-day 11,000 bales were offered, when prices showed a hardening tendency. Greasy and good combing scoured is about the same as the dosing rates of last sales. Medium combing scoured ruled lower, and faulty scoured about Id lower, than the closing rates of last sales. Since the opening of the senea 10,000 bales have teen withdrawn, out of a total of 101,000 offered.

Sept, 16. Adelaide wheat, ex store, has declined •o 82s 6d. Adelaide flour is at 28s. New Zealand wheat, ex store, has declined to 30s for lowest and 32a lor best qualities. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for tho Uni ed Kingdom is 1,830,000 quarters, and for the Continent 308.000 quarters. New Zealand frozen mutton, prime quality, realised 3|d to 4d per lb. Australian tallow remains at 22s 6d for average quality beef, and 23s 6d for average mutton, Sept. 17. The wheat market is inactive, and prices have not improved. A cargo by the ship Pengwern has been sold at 30s 4£d. At the wool sales prices were irregular. Crossbreds, good superior merinos, especially greasy, were very firm. Medium scoured and greasy were £d, and inferior and faulty sorts Id, below closing rates in July. The strongest demand was for the Gome trade. The German buyers were reserved, while those from France bought freely in grades that suited their requirements. There was an absence of support from America. One hundred and twenty-eight thousand bales were catalogued, of which number 14,000 were withdrawn.
