RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Temuka Wednesday, Shi. 14, 1887. [Before J. S. Beswick, Esq., R.M.] TRESPASS ON THE RAILWAY. George Dyson was charged with allowing two calves to wander on the railway line. The offence was ad* mitted. Dined 10s and costs. CIVIL CASES. G. Bolton v. Maim (native) —Claim £6 15s. —Judgment by default for amount claimed and costs. John Craig v. James Roberta (native) —Claim £2 5s 6d. —The defendant admitted the claim, and asked for time to pay.—An order was made for payment at the rate of 10s per week, orj in default seven days’ imprisonment. Henry Lee r. James McLaughlin— Claim £29, dishonored promissory note. —Mr Aspinall appeared for plaintiff.—There was no appearance of defendant.—Judgment was given for the amount claimed with costs. The Court then rose.
