The elderly woman named Freeman who was badly burnt at Oamaru by her clothes taking fire on Sunday last, died in the hospital on Tuesday. A company of young New Zealanders is being formed at Port Chalmers on mutual principles to trade with the South bea Islands. Information has been received that the Rev. W. Eadcliffe, whose house at New Brighton, near Christchurch, was burned down a short while since, and who left the colony soon afterwards, was arrested at Adelaide on Monday under the Bankruptcy Act, on a warrant issued at the instance of the police authorities at Christchurch. Eadcliffe was adjudicated a bankrupt on Monday. *
