IRISH AFFAIRS.

Loudon, Sept. 1. In the House of Commons yesterday, a spirited discussion took place on the aotion of the Government in proclaiming a Nationalist meeting convened for Sunday next at Ennis, County Clare. In the course of the discussion, Mr Dillon declared that the meeting would be held notwithstanding the proclamation, and if bloodshed occurred the Chief Secretary for Ireland would be answerable for the consequence. The Nationalist meeting, which was to have been bald at Ballycoree on Sunday, has been " proclaimed." The Government has refused to extend the provisions of the Cottagers Allotment Act to Ireland. It is rumored that the name of the National League will be changed to the Celtic League. Sept. 3. Large forces of military and police have been despatched to Ennis, County Clare, in view of the meeting to be held there tomorrow. It is expected that fully 40,000 persons will attend the meeting, which will be addressed by Mr Dillon and other members of Parliament.
