London, Aug. 26. The French journal Le Paris, in an article on the New Hebrides question, gays that the agreement concerning the control of those islands awaits the exchange of signatures. It considers that a joint naral protection would result in continual conflict, and resents the withdrawal of France in obedience to the yelling of the Australian colonies, There is a growing impression in England that the Government intends to disregard the protests of the Australian colonies against the occupation of the New Hebrides by France, Aug. 27.In .an interview with Sir, Henry Holland in reference to the encroachment of the French on the Presbyterian missions in the New Hebrides, Sir Graham Berry urged tha Government to maintain the interests of Australia in those islands. Sir Henry Holland promised to refer the matter to, his colleagues.
