TEMUKA SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the 'above Committee was held on Tuesday evening. Present —Messrs H. M. Miles (Chairman), B. Brown, A Russell, W. Gr. Rutland, J. Davis, and A. W. Surridge. MINUTES. The minutes of the previous meetings were road and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE. Correspondence was received from the Board of Education, agreeing to p»y half the cost of the ventilators. — It was decided to have the work done. HEAD MASTER'S REPORT. The Head Master’s report was read and considered. He enclosed a list of about 40 names of parents whose children had not attended regularly. It was arranged that the Chairman should call on the parents, and inform them that failing the more regular attendance of the children the com pulsory clauses of the Act would be enforced.
ACCOUNTS. Accounts to tho amount of £o were passed for payment. VISITOR. The Chairman reported that during the past month he had visited the school, and found everything working in a satisfactory manner. The fresh arrangements of the staff seemed to be an improvement. Mr B. Brown was appointed Visitor for the ensuing month, and the meeting terminated.
