London, July 14.

Mr Balfour stated in the House of Commons that he would next year introduce a Land Purchase Bill, which he hoped would satisfy all interests in Ireland.

The Irish Land Bill will meet with strong opposition. Unless its provisions are modified it will be opposed by some who supported the Crimes Bill, The Liberal Unionists have announced that they will require important amendments to he made.

Mr Gladstone and Mr Parnell appealed to Mr Campbell Bannerman to withdraw his amendment to the Land Bill, but leave was refused. July 15. In (he House of Commons last night, Mr Bannerman’s amendment on the Irish Land Bill, demanding revisions of judicial rents for holdings was negatived, and the Bill was read a second time without division.

The Crimes Bill has teen read a second lime in the House of Lords.
