ENGLISH MARKETS.
London, June 22. At the colonial wool sales to-day 10 500 bales were offered. Prices were well maintained. The New Zealand Lean and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following cablegram fiom London, dated 20th June:— Wool Competition is increasing, and quotations are on an average nearly id to Id better than at ppening. The American demand for .ttie following descriptions, light in grease, is good : Good and medium quality crossbreds and long staple merinp. Up to date 115,000 bales have been sold.
Wheat Market is quiet. Quotations fpr New Zealand wheat are unchanged. Adelaide wheat, f.a.q., is worth, c.i.f., off coast, Us 6d per 4801 b J and New
Zealand wheal, '. .q., is worth, c.i.f., off coast, '33s 6d per 4801 b. Tbii< w—Market steady. Good rtvr ton av* beef ore respectively -'6 6ii and fld per cwt. Leather—The market is firmer. Quotations are unchanged. Oals—Market depressed, Stocks of colonial oats are heavy.
