Mr James Allen, who is to contest Dunedin East against Sir Kobort Stout, is doing bo in response to a requisition signed by 405 electors. The Premier will address hia constituents on Monday next. He left Wellington on Wednesday, night for Dunedin. Mr Thomas Bracken does not intend to contest Dunedin Central at the forthcoming eleptions. Mr W, Rolleßt'on will address a publio meeting at Prebbleton on Tuesday even? nig next. Mr W. Farnalloontestß Auckland Nerth with Mr Thompson. Dr Cole will stand for the fourth Wellington seat. Mr, Orinond says he will contest the Napier seat against all comers.
