THE JUBILEE.
London, June 14. At the military review at Aldershot on the 9th July in honor of the Queen’s Jubilee, in which 10,000 troops, take part, a special stand will be erected to i liable colonial visitors to witness the manoeuvres. On the occasion of the nnval review at Porismouih on July 23rd Government will provide a special steamer for the use of colonial visitors,
The procession to Westminster Abbey will be divided into three parts, Tbe first will include the Indian princes, the Queen of Hawaii, and minor members of the European royalty. The second includes the King of Denmark, King of ilia Belgians, King of baxony, King of Greece, Crown Princes of Austria and Portugal, and the Queen of the Belgians. The third will contain eleven State equipages, five containing officers of State and two young Princesses, the eighth tbe daughters of the Prince of Wales, the ninth the Duchesses of of Albany and Connaught, and Princess William of Prussia, the tenth the Princesses Helena, Lonise, Beatrice, and tbe Duchess of Edinburgh, tbe eleventh the Princess Royal, the Princess Alexandra, and Her Majesty. The last carriage will be drawn by eight cream-colored horses. The Duke of Connaught, the Prince of Wales, tbe Duke of Edinburgh, .Prince Christian, the Crown Prince of Germany, and the Duke of .Hesse, will ride in front of Her Majesty. Prince Albert Vidor, Prince George, the Duke of Cambridge, the Marquis of Lome, Princess Louis and Henry of Battenberg, and Prince William of Russia, will ’ ride behind the Royal carriage. The Life Guards, Native Indian Cavalry, and other troops will form the rear-guard, On reaching the Abbey at noon the Queen assumes the crown and robes, and in the procession to the altar the Prince ot Wales, the Dnkes of Connaught and Edinburgh, Prince Christian, and the Crown Prince of Germany will precede the Queen, the Princesses following Her Majesty. _ ' ' Many old British residents in India are applying to share the facilities granted to tbe colonies to witness tbe pageant. The Agents-General are resisting the request, maintaining that every portion of available space will bo occupied, Jana ] 5. A Gazette extraordinary has been issued inviting religious bodies, in accordance with the wishes of the Queen, to observe Sunday next as a day of special thanksgiving in celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of her accession to the throne. The Crown Prince and Princeps of Germany have arrived in London, and the monarobs, princes, and special ambassadors who will take part In the jubilee celebration am on their way to this city. Among the represen- . tatives of foreign Powers will be one from the Vatican.
It is announced that Her Majesty will, on the occasion of the jubilee celebration, grant amnesties to naval and military prisoners who have been sentenced for desertion and miner offences.
Accommodation will be provided in the Abbey for 9000 people, There will be seats for 160 colonists.
It is reported that the police are keenly alert welching possible dynamiters, who might meditate an outrage on the occasion of the jubilee celebration. Sydney, Jane 15. It is estimated that fully 25,000 persons were present to-night at a jubilee meeting in the Exhibition buildings, the greater part of the audience being Loyalists. An attempt was, however, made to break up the meeting, This proved unsuccessful, though it created some disturbance. The platform was partly rushed, but a strong body "of police, blue jackets, Orangemen, and students prevented any serious damage being done. Lord Oarington, Sir Henry Parkes, and several leading citizens addressed the meeting, but were hardly heard, owing to the loyal demons Strattons on the ope hand and the counter demonstrations of the opposite party. All the resolutions were passed by large majorities. A few slight injuries were caused by the attempted rush for the platform, but, on the whole, the proceedings passed off more quietly than was expected, Melbourne, June 16.
A religious service of an undpnoml? nation*! character will be held in the Town Hall on the 24th instant in commemoration of the Queen’s Jubilee. It is expected that Bishop Hoe will preside, and that Dr Cameron Lees, Mr Bevan, and other clergymen will be present.
