Mr William ; O'Brien, , the Irish Nationalist leader, addressed an open air meeting at Tpronto to-night, The proceedinge were interrupted by constant cheering for the Queen and the Marquis of Lansdowne, and bnwliog against O'Brien, who wag compelled to desist from speaking. Serious disturbances took place at Toronto to-night, .when William O'Rrien, Irish Nationalist leader, in attempting to addre.-s an open air meeting, was stoned by the mob, and compelled to fly for' his lif«. He succeeded in eeoaping. The crowd smashed the windows of a shop in which it was believed he had taken refuge, It is feared the rioting will be continued tomorrow.
