EXPLANATION RE JUBILEE MEETING.

TO THE EEITOR. Sib,—From what I heard after the meeting at Temuka I am led to believe that the Chairman of the meeting took my resolution as personal to himself alone. I wish to contradict that impression through your columns, and to state that as I considered tho meeting in a state of stagnation I thought to enliven it by some bit of fun, never dreaming that anything I could say before a Temuka audience would be taken as personal by any one. And now that I have made the amende honorable I trust Mr Gray will retraot his offensive utterance with regard to me, that is, that he would not sit on any Oomtnit'ee with me.—l am, etc., F. W. Badham.
