DUKEDIN STOCK MARKETS.
At the Burnside Yards on Wednesday the following business was transacted : Fat Cattle—2ol head yarded. The market was a dull one all through, prioei again falling 10a to 15s a head below last wsek. Bullocks sold from £4 lOi to £8 17j 6d (one pen extra prime, £10) ; cows and heifers, £3 6) to £7 si.—Mewrs Danald Beid and Co. sold for Messrs M'Gtoverin and Hardy (The Hook, Waimate), 12 bullocks at £5 2s_6d to £6 17s 6d.—Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. aold for Mr M. Quinn (Makikihi), 2 extra prime bnllooka (heavy weights), at £lO and £9 2i 6i respectively, 1 very prime shorthorn cow at £8 2s 6d, and 10 bullocks at £6 to £8 7s 6d. Fat Sheep—24l6 were penned, including 350 merinos. Pricee showed an advance of 6d to la per head over last week's rates for best pens, others ruling a shade higher. Crossbred wethers sold at 5s 9d to 9a 9d; orossbred ewes, 4s 6d to 8a ; merino wethers, 3s to 7« 6d. Fat Limbs—24s penned, all useful to prime; bidding brisk, and fully last week's rates realised ; best brought 6s to 7s 6d ; others, 4a 6d to 5s 9d. Figs—Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Go. sold 209 on acoount of Messrs Wm. Earl, John Douglas (Waihao Downs), Friedlandcr Bros., and others. Bacon pigs brought from 27i 6d to 425; porkers, from 19i 6d to 27s Sd j and suckers, 8s 6d. Horses—Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Go. quota really first, olass young heavy draughts (broken, with trials) at from £ 0 to £25; medium, £lO to £l6 ; first-class hacks and light-harness horses, £ls to £2O ; good useful backs (suitable for India), £9 to £l3; medium, £6 to £lO j inferior arid weedy, £llos to £5. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS.
Sydney, April 30. Wheat is at 3s 8d to 3s 9d ; oats, Is 9d to 2s 4d; maize, 3a lOd. ENGLISH MARKETS. London, April 29. Adelaide wheat is 3t 36a 6d ; Adelaide flour, 255; New Zealand, lowest qualities, 335, best qualities, 37a 6d. New Zealand mutton is selling at 4£d per lb on Simthfield market. Australian beef tallow is 6d lower, 225; Australian mutton tallow is 6d lower, 235. April 30. The wheat market has firmed. English has slightly advanced, but foreign is unchanged. Supplies are moderate. Australian on the spot is unaltered; but for that now on the passage forward sales have been negotiated. Copious cold rains have fallen, and the harvest is backward.
