Melbourne, March 30. Henry Lancaster, wbo Jwas convicted of manslaughter for shooting a brother militiaman named King during a quarrel, has been sentenced to three months' imprisonment. BXDHET, March 30. About 2000 unemployed are eneaged on Government works at wages amounting to £2300 per week. Extreme stagnation exists in boot making, building, briokmakine, and carpentering trades. Many leading establishments are working half time, and have discharged a number of hands. Adelaide, March 30. The University Council have decided to admit lady students on the same conditions as gentlemen to the Medical Course.
