Staveley (for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited; reports on the Tinwald sale, Bth inst., »s follows: At Tinwald yards there were fair entries of sheep and cattle, and a good attendance. Business improve somewhat compared to recent transactions. All aged and inferior lots were taken for boiling down. Fat cows made £4 to £5 17s 6d ; fat steers, £4 3s 6d to £5 15s. We sold nice quality mixed 2-tooths for Mr Judd at 5s 6d ; fatcrossbred ewes brought 4s 101; aged do, Is lid to 2s Id ; aged merino ewes, Is 3d to Is 101; mixed merinos in good condition, 2a 3d • crossbred lambs, 3s to 4s; small 2-tooth crossbred 2s 3d ; fairly good to 4s.
