The pew Cathedral Church at Nelson was opened yesterday rooming with great ceremony. The Primate and the Bishops of Nelson and Waiapu, and a large number of.clergy were present. The building i'e the old church enlarged apd renovated, the interior being yery handsome, Mr Mountfert, of Christchurch, is the architect. The church will be,the only one in tiie colony lighted by electric light, Ashcroft and Co., of Wellington, having contracted for three years.
