The annuel meeting of the abore Ohurob was held last evening, at which then was an average, attendance. .The Eev.; Mr White, Moderator, occupied the.chair. ' After reading the ,miqg{ssL and 'confirming them the annual report wasT'rcad.. It exprelied regret at 'being 1 without a pastor, but congratulated the congregation onltha state of the finances. : *Tho (year was commenced with a debit balance of £B9 17s, and it was closed with a credit balance of £l3 17s. Thejtflltal income fortheyej# was £555 8s 9d, The only, liability was a debt of £260 on the manse. On the motion of Mr 80ut,,, seconded bj Mr Yelvin the report and'balifcbe>shcet aa read were adopted. It was also, decided they should be printed as usual. • The ireport of the Session, and also the ret port of the Sabbath School were read, and Mr Stewart spoke at some length pn the great - work that was being done in ttasohool. Mr Bout proposed that'’ the Committee be elected next Sabbath by ballot. ' ' ; Mr Stewart urged they ought to elect a Committee at ones, and this Tie# was sop* ported by Mr Quild. . Mr Anderson suggested that a small Com* mittee should be appointed for Waitohi, and made a motion to the offset that Waitohi have power to manage its own affairs, and to send two representative* to’ths'Tsmnka Committee. Mr Cooper sesondsd the metien, and it was carried after some discussion. ;■: On the motion of Mr Cooper, it was do* oided that a Committee of 12 membore should be elected for Temuka,- with the two representatives from Waitohi to make np • general Committee of 14 members. The following twelve members were then elected, viz. Messrs J. Austin,* B. Darroeh, J. Cooper,: J. Brown,: J;'. Anderson, J. Guild, P. MoCaikill, W. Ooltman, B. Waddell, 3, MoOullogb, D. Shaw, and B. Wilson. Mr Cooper moved that the Committee have power to fill up vacancies, and on ths motion being seconded by Mr Bussell, it was carried, ; - : j On the motion of Mr 7 Bout, seconded by Mr;: Austin, ViMr :i Guilds' . was. ' appointed Treasurer, and Mr Cooper Secretary. Mr Blyth moved a hearty vote of thanks to the retiring Committee for the excellent work they had done daring thei pastjear. The motion was seconded'by Mr Morton, who spoke very highly of the efforts nut forth by the collectors, and it was carried by acclamation,' 1 ‘ The meeting then terminated ‘; by ths Moderator pronouncing ths Beocdietion.
