C.J.O. NEW YEAR MEETING. About 2000 people were present at the C.J.C. Meeting at Christchurch on Saturday. £4400 passed through the totalisators. Results : Hurdle Handicap, of 2 sovs each, with 100 sovs added, second horse to receive 20 hovh out of the slake—Tres Sec 1, Aroha 2, Main boom 3. New Year Nursery Handicap, of 3 sovs each, with 150 sovs added, second horse to receive 25 sovb, third 10 sovs cut of the stake—Maxim 1, Gipsy King 2, Klmberley 3.
Grand Stand Handicap, of 5 sots each, with 300 Bovs added, second horse to receive 50 sova, third 20 sova out of the stake—Tit Bit 1, Mutton 2, Leon 3. Selling Riice, of 100 sovs ; second horse to receive 20 sovs, third 10 sova out of the stake—Meteor 1, Rocket 2, Kiogask 3. The winner was sold for 50 sovs.
