Prime milling qualities cm be readily placed at quotations, whole fowl wheat is inquired for at top rates, but vry little is offering. W« quote Prime Tuscan and velvet, 4s 61 to 4s 7d ; red chaff, 4s 5d to 4s 6d ; whole fowl wheat, Ss 9d to 3s lOd ; broken, 2s lOd to 3s 4d.

Oats—The large quantities placed on the market during the past fortnight have had a further depressing effect on prices. The demand continues sluggish, and it is therefore difficult to make sales even at the reduced rates now ruling. Advices to band from the various importing districts point to a decreased consumption during the next month or two, and buyers are in the meantime operating very sparingly. We quote as present values : —Short bright feed, la 8d to la 9d ; bright heavy Danish, Is 7d to Is 8d; fair average, Is 6d to Is 7d. Barley—We have inquiries for prime malting, but the market is bare. Feed is worth 2s 2d to 2s 4d. Potatoes—There is no demand whatever for these, and owners will find it difficult to clear off their stocks at even nominal rates.

AUSTRALIAN MARKETS.

Adelaide, Nov. 26. Mauritius advices are to hand to the 13th. The month’s engagements included 200 tons for Auckland, and 200 for Wellington. Freights to New Zealand, 25s ; exchange, 60 days. Bank credits to New Zealand, 35 per cent. The stock of sugar in hand is 28,000 tons. The exports this season to New Zealand amounted to 1000 tons. Sydney, Nov. 26.

New Zealand wheat is selling at 4s Id ; oats, 2s 4d ; maize, per 56lbs, 3s 6d. Sugar Co.’s No. I pieces, £25 per ton.

ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Not. 26, Tallow—Australian, average quality; Beef, 26s 6d ; mutton, 30s, Nov, 27.

There is not much alteration in the wheat market. Australian wheat is fid dearer all round, and the market is firm, though business is quiet. Australian, ex warehouse, is quoted at 365. New Zealand, 80s to 365. Adelaide flour, 25s fid. No sales are announced of cargoes to arrive.
