Sidney, Oct. 11. OafErey arrived from Permonfc to day, heavily ironed. A large crowd of spectator* assembled and met the steamer. The prisoner was brought before the magistrates on the charge of murdering the settler Taylor at Great Barrier Island, and remanded for a week. It is understood that although the extradition of the woman Lizzie Graham, thf paramour of Penn, has been applied for by the ; police authorities in New Zealand, it is not intended to charge her with any offence, but she may be required to give evideude against the murderers.
