WOODBURY SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The monthly meeting of the shore Committee was held last Monday evening. Present—Messrs Dean (Chairman), Fiatman, Hammond, Heatley, and Gick, The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was read from the Secretary of the Board of Education, dated July 80th, stating that the sum of ±7 9s had been placed to the credit of the Committee as for the present quarter, From the same, enclosing Inspector's report of July 18th; also covering summary of attendance for the quarter ending June SOth, 1886. Frain Mr Greaves, tba fjeqd Master, thanking the Chairman for the perusal of the Inspector’s report, and stating that the Inspector was slightly in error supposing that Standards 11. and 111. had a drawing lesson of one and a-balf hours’ duration. The timedahle provides for two Ipiseps per week for those Standards, each lesson lasting S 3 minutes. Tbs one aoi a halt hours’ lesson was tor Standards VI. to IY. only. The Visitors, Hammond and Gick, reported iliac the pump had been repaired, and that the contractor for catting the fences and repairing the same had done bis work fairly well, and they had passed the work. Some small items were required —namely, firebricks for the range m the Master’s house, a rope for the swing, and the doof handle
needed repairing.—*lt wee resolved that the be seen to at once. It waj resolved to ask Mr Allan Macdonald for an equal share of costs for repairing fences, us it was his sheep that Lad damaged them. Mr Platman bonsented to act at Visitor for the ensnmg month. Accotnls amounting to £2 it wore passed and paid. It was resolved that in fntnra all ordinary meeting bo held on.the ftrst Monday in each month, at 7 p.m. The meeting then terminated.
