WRECK OF THE S.S. PELHAM.

Brnryp, Aug. 9. The s.s. P. Ihatn, from Oreymouth, with a full cargo of coale, ran ushore at the Pilot Station at the Biuff, at 7 o’clock this morning, before she had the pilot on, board. Bhe struck about the same place as the s.s. Sc"tia did some twenty-three years ago, and there is little hope entertained of Her being got off, as it high water when she stinck. She now li-’fi With her stern to sea, and a heavy swell running past. She has a large hole amidships, and the water is up to the combing of the main hatch. It is expected that nhen the tide falls the vessel will break up. The efieots of the captain and c»ew, and all movables are now being landed at t>o Pilot Station. She is owned by Krenndy Brothers, of Oreymouth. The in«Jrance« are not known here. She left Oreymouth at 8.3 t a.m. on Saturday and experienced light variable winds after crossing the bar, with rainy weather. Sl>o passed Breakers Sound at 8 a.m. on tha Bth, and Windsor Point at 1.20 p.m., where a atrong easterly gal* was encountered with high seas. She had C.mtre Island abeam at 10 p.m., and stopped her engines. Was off the Bluff at 2 o’clock this morning, the wind blowing fresh from the eastward with a moderate sea.
