They sold privately for Mr James Guild (Trevenna), 100 bullocks to Mr A. Dornwell. Donald Stronach sold for Mr James Guild (Trevenna, Temuka), 11 prime bullocks £lO to £ll ss. Put Sheep—29ls penned, including 560 merino wethers, the rest being crossbreds, varying in quality from medium to prime, but the former most decidedly preponderating. Values showed a further decline of from Is fid to 2s per head on rates ruling last week. Best crossbred wethers brought from 11s to 12a 6d ; medium, 9s to 10s 6d ; best crossbred ewes, 9s to 10s 6d ; medium, 7s 6d to 8a 6d ; prime merino wethers, 7s to Ba.—Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co. sold for Mr R, A. Barker (Orari), 50 Crossbred wethers at lls 6d ; for Mr Walter Hartnell (Rakaia), 240 crossbred owes at from 8s 3d to 10 j 3d ; for Mr Andrew Grant (Temuda), 120 crossbred ewes at from 8s 6d to 9s 9d.— Mr Donald Stronach sold for Mr Wm. Ackroyd (Temuka), crossbred wethers from lls to 12s 6d—top price.—Mr L. Maclean sold for Mr M. Studholme (Waimate Estate) 120 prime halfbred wethers from lls 9d to 12s; for Mr Andrew Grant (Temuka), 60 crossbred ewes from 8s 6d to 10s 3d ; for Mr S. Cague (Timaru), 27 crossbreds at 8s 6d. Fat Lambs.— 250 penned. Being little better than stores, sold at 4s 9d, Pigs -Only 128 penned, mostly porkers and light-weight bacon pigs. Values lower, ptices ranging from 13s 6d to 38 j . Horses—Wright, Stephenson and Co. quote first-class draughts at from £lB to £25 ; medium, £l2 to £l6 ; inferior, £8 to £lO ; first-class hacks and light-harnoss horses, £l4 to £2O; medium, £8 to £l2 j aged and inferior, £3 to £6.
