At the Addington Yards on Wednesday large entries of fat stock ; moderate ent-i-. of stores; attendance of buyers abon l nu average one. The large entry of fat cattle was of various degress of quality, the demand not very brisk, and very irregular, and sales wore made at a alight reduction on late rates. Steers sold at from £slos to £Bl Os, heifers from £4 to £7 10», fat cows £4 10s to £7, 1 values ranging at from 18s to 20s per IGOIbs, according to quality. A full supply of fat sheep was on offer of all qualities. The demand was confined to local requirements, and was not at all keen, and a dragging sale ensued, late values not being maintained, a drop of about Is per head taking place. Crossbred wethers sold at from 11s 6d to 14s for prime quality, a pen of extraordinary weights so 1 ling up to 19s per head ; medium wethers 9s to 10s 6d, crossbred ewes 8a 6d to 12s 9d ; merino wethers sold at from 5s 6d to 8s 6d per heart. Taken all round, from l£d to If 1 per lb seemed to be the ruling price. A slightly improved entry of store sheep was offering, most lines being cleared, with an apparsnt healthier tone prevailing. Lines of crossbred ewes and wethers, mixed ages, fetched 6s 2d, and lines of wethers, mixed ages, from 4s 6d to 6s Bd. A moderate entry of store cattle yarded. Little business doing. Rates unaltered. A very heavy entry of pigs on offer. Demand barely sufficient to effect a clearance, at a decline in late values. Baconers sold at from 24s to 48s. Porkers from 16s to 21s, stores 4s to 10s, DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKETS. The following is the report for the week ending Wednesday : Wheat—The market continues fairly brisk. Millers, however, do not care to operate to any great extent, and it is doubtful whether any large lines would fetch recent prices. While holders continuefirm for prices asked, it is improbable that values will recede; besides, the reports of the comparatively short crop in Victoria will tend to harden the market here, but as regards any material improvement, the chances are against it, large supplies being available from California and India. Quotations; Extra choice Tuscan, 4s 9d ; prime, 4s 7d to 4s 8d ; prime velvet, 4s 6d to 4s prime red straw, 4s 6d to 4s 7d ; medium quality, 4s 2d to 4s 4d ; fowl feed, 3s 61 to 4s Id, with a ready sale owing to its scarcity. . Oats The market is firm. Bright feed, 2s 3d to 2s 3sd ; medium, 2s l£d to 2s 2Jjd ; and milling, 2a 4£d to 2s sd. Barley Malting parcels are being inquired for, but few lots are on hand. The sales have been at 2s KM to 3s ; milling 2s 6d to 2s 91 ; feed 2s to 2s sd. Grass Seed—Up to 5s 61 per bushel has been paid for farmers’ parcels from old pastures of ryegrass. Cocksfoot, 4£d per lb. Linseed, 4s 31 to 4s 6d per, bushel of 601 b. Potatoes are in over-supply. Derwaols, £3 15s for Southern, and £4 for Kakanuis; kidneys, £4. Butter—Salt dull, at 8d to 9d ; fresh, Is to Is Id. Eggs—ls 8d ; sales slow. Turnips—Over-supplied, at 18s to 20s. Carrots—4os. Sheepskins'—The usual weekly sales were held on Monday. Dry crossbreds, low to medium, brought Is to 3s, do full wool, 3s 3i to 4s 6d ; dry merinos, low to medium, lOd to 2a 7d ; do full wool, 2s 9d to 4a 7d ; dry pelts, Id to 7d ; green crossbreds, 3s 7d to 4s 91 ; do merino, 3s 7d to 8a 8d ; lambskins, 2s 7d to 3s 7d. _ ENGLISH MARKETS. London, July 20. Breadstuff* Adelaide wheat, ex store, 34s 6d per496lbs ; New Zealand wheat, ex store, 28s to 89s 6d per 496ibs, according to grade. Adelaide flour, ex store, 24s per 280 ibs. Tallow—Australian, fair to average quality is quoted Beef, to 25s ; mutton, to 27s per cwt, The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following cable from London, dated the 20th instant; — Wheat—Market steady, Adelaide is worth 35s 6d ; |New Zealand average, 325, and New Zealand long-berried 34a per 4961b5. Tallow—Mutton tallow is in demand, and so is inferior besf, but other sorts are neglected. Good mutton and beef tallows are quoted respectively at 26s 6d and 23s per cwt. Leather—Market quiet, and best sides are worth 11 d per lb. Frozen Meat—Market depressed, and rnufton market is overstopked. New Zealand mutton, of 651 b to 701 b per carcase, is worth 5d per lb, and - prime New Zealand lamb 6£d per lb,
