TIMARU PRODUCE MARKETS.

The Canterbury Farmer's* Cooperative Association, Limited, report for the week ended god inst. as follows

1 The market for milling wheat has assinned a somewhat' easier tendency, millers not being' anxious to increase their present stocks’at tbe high retee lately ruling. There /is comparatively little being taken for export! .Oats are somewhat firmer, and basinets daring the week has been brisk. We entieipate aa active demand for feed, oata during the next few weeks. In barley there is, at usual, very little: doing. Potatoes have been, taken, at an advance of 5s per con for prpmpt delivery. Some speculation in these it apparent, and rates are likely t 6 be maintained. Butter, owing to the collapse of the Sydney market, is usgleoted, and prices have consequently receded, sale* being made with difficulty at lOd to 10£d, kegs 'extra. Beans < are enquired I for, and we have sold at up to 4s per bushel. The following are our quotations : - Wheat—Prime Tuscan and velvet, 4s 3d to 4s 4d ; red chaff, 4a 2d ; good whole fowl wheat (Scarce), 3s 3d; broken, 2e 9d to 3s.

Oath—Bright heavy short, 2s 3d to 2fl 4d ; heavy Danish, 2* Id to 2s 2d ; fair average, Is lid to 2a Id ; inferior, la 9d to Is lid.

Barley—Malting (nominal), 2s 6d to 2a 9d ; feed, 2s to 2a 3d. Beans—3s 9d to 4a. Potatoes—6ss per ton, sacks included. Butter—Salt, lOd to 10|d, kegs extra. The above grain quotations are ex store or in trucks, Timaru.
