DUNEDIN STOCK MARKETS. At the Burnside Yards on Wednesday the following business was transuded : Fat Cattle—Only a moderate supply came forward tn-day—viz , 128 head, the largest portion of which were medium quality. Best bullocks brought from £7 10s to £9 15s ; medium and light weights, £3 10s to £7 2s 6d ; cows and heifers, £2 17s 6d to £7 10 s, according to weight and quality. L. Maclean sold for Mr M. btudbolme (Waimate estate), 7 heifers from £6 5s to £6 15s. Donald Reid and Co,, sold for Mr William Quinn (Makikihi), 6 bullocks at £7 5s to £7 17s 6d. Donald Stronacb sold on account of Mr J. M. Grennaway (iiaugitata), 16 heifers from £4 2s 61 to £6 2s 61. Fat Calves—l 4 penned, and sold under brisk competition at prices ranging from 7s to 28s. Fat Sheep—l92U wen-offered to-day, of which about 300 were merinos, the balance crossbreds chiefly ewes—ranging from medium to prime quality. Best crossbred wethers brought from 6s 9d to 8s 6d (one pen extra heavy reached Us 9d) ; medium, 5s 3d to 6s 6d ; crossbred ewes, 4s to 7s 3d ; merinos, 2s 6d to 4s. L. Maclean sold for Mr M. Studholme (Waimate estate), 130 crossbred ewes from 4s 6d to 6s 3d ; and for Mr Alex. M’Lean (Studholme Junction), 124 crossbreds from 5s to 5s 9J.—Wright, Stephenson sold for Mr Henry Ford (Washdyke), 30 crossbred wethers at Bs, and 31 at 7s 3d ; for Mr Joseph Page, 60 crossbreds at 7s 3d ; for Mr T. D. Robertson (Timaru), 64 crossbred ewes at from 5s 3d to 6s.—Mr Donald S'ronach sold for Mr A. M. Clarke (L'emuUa), 120 crossbred wethers from 8s to 8s 61, 70 merino do at 4s. Fat Lambs—Only 135 forward today. The small number offered caused prices to improve, and under keen competition all were sold at prices ranging from 5s 6d to 7s 9d. Pigs—2B2 penned. Sales were difficult to effect at a considerable reduction in consequence of the trade having full supplies on hand, and, indeed, all conditions were almost unsaleable.
