Melbourne, Dec. 22. The dispute between the Melbourne whart-laborers and- shipowners remains unsettled. It is possible that arrangements may bo come to to-day, otherwise the men, to the number of 400, will go out on strike. Btdnbt, Dec. 21. A fire, whieh eventually obtained alarming proportions, broke out on Saturday night at Albury, New South Wales, the flames destroying the entire block in which the Australian Mutual Provident Society's office were situated, and spread to the office of the Albury Banner newspaper, which was burned to the ground. The total loss is estimated at L 15,000, the bulk of which is covered bf insurance. Deo. 22. After encountering many obstacles, Sir John Robertson has been able to submit to His Excellency the following names for the new Ministry :—Premier and Colonial Secretary, Sir John Robertson ; Colonial Treasurer, Mr Burns; Minister for Justice, Mr Beydon; Secretary for Lands, Mr Spring; Minister for Public Instruction, Mr Young ; Minister for Public Works, Mr Garrard; Minister for Mines, Mr Vaughan; Postmaster-General, Mr O'Counor ; Attorney-General, Mr Simpson. In the Assembly to-iay the seats of the new Ministers were declared vacant, and the House then further adjourned until the 27th January. Brisbane, Dec. 21. Another death from cholera has occurred among the s.o. Dorunda's passengers. Several other suspicious cases are in existence.
