THE EASTERN CRISIS.
London, Nov. 16. The Austrian Government have commenced to mobilise troops on the frontier. Prince Alexander of Bulgaria having been denied any assistance from Turkey, has now appealed to the Great Power.to intervene against the aggressions of Servia. Nov. 19. In the Slivnitza engagement which took place on Tuesday, there were 3000 Servians opposed to 3000 Bulgarian led by Prince Alexander. The rout of the Servians was complete. Nov. 27. Prince Alexander, at the head of 50,000 men, is marching on Pirot. Austria is insisting on an armistice between Servia and Bulgaria. During the attack on Widdin by the Servians, they lost 2000 men. Vienna, Nov. 29, It is announced that the Austrian Government have succeeded in effecting an armistice between Servia and Bu'garia. Sofia, Nov. 27. Despatches have been received from Prince Alexander announcing that the Bulgarian troops attacked the Servian forces at Pirot, which was ultimately captured by the Bulgarians, the Servians being compelled to retreat in the direction of Nisot.
