The Chairman then referred to the special orders're the Rangitatsa and feeadown Water Supply Districts. He thought the Council should; take stsps under the Public Works Act. They* would have to ascertain through whose property the races were likely to run, and then get the ; owner's consent.—The matter was left over until the annual meeting on the 25th, Accounts to the amount of £3B Is 3d were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned. ;
