A COMPLAINT.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Coiiiiiicrsbie indignation has been aroused UtoU at Arowhenua by a man well known about Omuka attempting to l«y poist.n on b £-»cre section in * thickly populated part of -the townahip. Oti<* of the residents of the place, who was »fraH of getting his children poisoned, complained to the police, and stopped his little gam*. Since then he ha« been keeping the neighborhood in continual excitement by going aboat with a loaded gun, pointing it at places, and firing it off on the £-acre nection that he claims to be owner of. Some of ihe women and children of the neighborhood are getting qtiit« nerrou*«, and are frightened to show themselves outside of their doors when he is aboat. They think they are in personal danger of getting shot. Is there any law to prerenfc this, or are women and children to be continually subjected to such conduot on the part of a man who Shares in I thia extraordinary manner?—l am, etc., ViKToa Vincit Invidiam.
