THE CREEK IN MASLIN'S PADDOCK.
TO THE EDITOR. Sin, —Would you be good enough to insert tho following few lines in your widely-circulated paper ? I w«nt to know the reason why the creek iu Maslin's padlock is not cleared out. We sent in a petition some tim* ago asking tlie Board to rh> the work. Everything is " up to Dick " in the township, and why should wo be left out in the cold ? Sometimes I have to go through three feet of water or else cross other people's land to get to my house, %nd sometim"s I have been shut in for three days, through not being able to get out on account of water. Now, Mr Editor, this is not riglit. The creek at present is dry, and now is the time to clear it out. I was speaking the other day to one of tha owners of the land through which the ereek runs, and he said he would not do anything towards clearing it. I told him, however, that if the came on my land again, I would make it hot lor him. Hoping some one nn-re able with the pen than myself will take this up.—l am, etc., George Stokes. Geraldine, Oct. 20.
