Melbourne, Sept. 23. The trial of Seymour R. Robinson, for robbery from the Hotham branch of the Federal Bank, was concluded to-day, when the prisoner was sentenced to twelve month*’ imprisonment. Sept. 24. The Steam Navigation Board recommend the despatch of a steamer to the locality where the Gulf of Carpentaria was recently wrecked, in order to search for the sunken rock on which it is believed she struck.

The Union Steamship Company’s s,s. Manapouri arrived here this morning from the Bluff.
