TINWALD MARKET
Mr E. G. Staveley (for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited) reporls on Tinwald sales under date Bth September:—Few fat sheep yarded. Crossbred ewes, 14s. Large supply stores, chiefly hoggets, which declined fully Is. About 7000 sheep penned altogether. Forward crossbred wethers, 12s 9d ; fat merino wethers, 10s 3d ; forward do, 8s 2d ; hoggets, 9a to 13s 3d ; merino wethers, 6s Id; crossbred ewes, with fair percentage lambs, 18s 3d. Moderate entry pigs; slack demand. Large yarding cattle, mostly inferior stores; fair demand, values easier. Fat heifers, £4 to £6 17» 6d ; -dry cows, £3 15s to £4; twenty months, mixed, £2 3s to £2los; yearlings, £1 133 ; springers, £5 to £7. ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Sept. 7. At to-day's wool auctions 11,600 bales were catalogued. The market is weak, prices generally ruling one penny to three halfpence lower, while all d»» scriptions of inferior or faulty wools are fully twopence below last sale's prices.
