ENGLISH MARKETS. The New Zealand Land and Mortgage Company have received the following telegram from their London office, dated 10th inst. “1 be wool sales closed to-day at an average decline of nearly 7per cent, on last sales’ closing rates. Except for long staple uieiino light in grease, for which the market, is unchanged, and superior merino lamb, which is firmer, and for coarse greasy crossbred, the market is easier. The Home and German demand is good, but in other quarters the dermnd is poor, except the American enquiry for long staple merino, light in grease, which is also good. The sales comprise 236,000 bales. Seven thousand bales have been held over for future disposal. Six thousand hales have been taken for America, an’ 181,000 for the Continent.”
