CHRISTCHURCH CORN EXCHANGE. The Corn Exchange reports for the week ending Friday evening, the 10th inst, :

The wintry weather of the past week has not created a buoyancy in the grain markets. The London advices hare been slightly more reassuring, but they have had little effect upon prices local. Nearly all purchases made here are for intercolonial orders and local requirements : the principal London shipments being made by growers on their own account. Prime milling Hunter’s and Pearl have a fair enquiry among millers, while Tuscan is taken up for shipment at slightly lower rates. There is plenty of second quality offering, with little business doing. Chick \iheat, whole, dry and fit for shipment, has a ready sale. Short bright oats are good value, while feed sorts are saleable at quotations. The barley market continues quiet, with only an occasional enquiry for second quality malting lor shipping. There has been some activity in beans, owing to favorable accounts of sales having been received of early shipments to London, but our quotations of last week have not been exceeded. Prussian Blues have a good demand, but feed peas are quiet. A steady demand still exists for clean farmers’ parcels of ryegrass. Transactions in cocksfoot have been chiefly confined to slightly discolored lines for local sowing. Few lines of Derwents are off ring, and buyers are not willing to advance beyond quotations. A brisk trade has been done in dairy produce, but late advices from Sydney point to an early spring, when prices, for butter especially, are almost certain to recede again. Quotations are as follow :
