POLITICAL.
The Minister for Education is to deliver an address to the House ou the subject of education. Although nothing definite is
yet known as to tbe nature of tbe pro* posed address, it will probably be in the form of a statement following in the train of tbe Financial, Public Works, and Mines Statements.
The Bank Note Security Bill (Dargaville) provides that bank notes shall bo a first charge on the assets within the colony of such Bank, and the owner of any such note or notes shall be untitled to be paid out of such assets the full amount expressed to be represented by such note or notes in priority of all other claims of a different nature against such Bank, arising after the passing of the Act. All Bank notes issued within the colony shall rank equally for payment.
