WAR IN THE SOUDAN.
London, April 22, General Lord Wolseley will return to England. In the course of the debate on the Tote of credit, the Government an nounced that the portion of the vote to be expended on the Soudan campaign was not intended to provide for further operations. It was also stated that the railway now in course of construction from Souakim would only be continued to a point necessary for the security of Souakim,
