AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Melbourne, Dec. 23. The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited; reports on the local markets as follows: Wheat, 8< 5d to 3* 6d, with rather aura enquiry at reduced prices ; malting barley, 4s to 4s 4-d, with a slightly improved tendency. New Zealand oats; feeding sons are sluggish at 3s 4d to 3s 7d ; milling ditto, dull at 3< 7d to 3s od ; New Zealand oats under bond are slow of sale at 2s 9d to 2s lid. Dec. 24. Messrs Goldsbrongh and Company, Limited, held their usual weekly sale to-day, when 3100 bales were sold, making a' total of 70,000 disposed of ibis season. Good greasy realised to !2Ld, and good washed and scoured to There was a large attendance of buyers, and brisk competition continues. Some large sales will be held after the holidays. ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Dec. 24. The markets for colonial breadstuffs and tallow are without quotable change.
