DUNEDIN MARKETS. At the Burnside yards on Wednesday, 199 fat cattle were yarded, a few of nhich were prime heavy weights, n fair proportion good to prime, and the balance light to medium quality. Prime bullocks brought £9 to £l2 10, a few grand beasts ud to £l7 l : 'ts ; others, £5 10s to £BIO a; cows, £4 to £ll 17«* 6d. Prime beef is worth 22s 6d per IOOIbs. Fat Calves— s< 61 to 22a 61.

Fat Sheep—Competition was slack, and prices receded fully 2s per head from last week’s rates. Crossbreds sold from 10s to 16e, a few at 17s 91 ; merinos, 8s 6d to Hs 61. A lot of 62 crossbred wethers (the property of Mr A. Grant) brought 15s ; and 126 do. (the property of Mr M. Quinn) brought 16a. Fat Lambs—Best sold at 9s 3d to 13q a few extra good to 14s 6d ; others, 4s 6J to 9s 9d.

Pigs—Suckers brought 6a to 14s ; stores, 17a to 25s ; porkers, 18s to 43a; bacon pigs, 48s to 87s 6d. Store Cattle— There is an improved demand for all offering. Prices, however, show little difference on late rates.

Sheepskins—Butchers’ green crossbred, full-woolled, brought 4s bd to 6s 9d ; do. medium and inferior, Is 6d to 4s 5d ; merinos, full-wooded, 4s 6d to 5s 8d ;do. inferior and medium, Is 3d to 4s 51; pelts, lOd to 15d ; lambskins, 91 to 16d. Hides—“ Extra heavy weights, c'ean and dry, 4|d ; heavy, 4d to 4£d ; medium io good, 3d to 3|d per lb. Tidiow —Piime is worth 26s to 28s 6d ; medium, 22s 6d to 25s ; inferior, 17s to 22s ; rough fat, 16s to 18s, Wheat.—Choice milling is worth 3s 5d to 3s 6 1 , prime red straw, 3s to 3s 3Jd ; medium, 2s 6d to 2s 9d ; inferior and fowl-feed, Is (id to 2s 4d per bushel. Oats,—The market is Fully supp'ied but as there is no demand for shipment, any business transacted has been at decidedly lower rates. Prime mi ling is now quoted at 2s 4d to 2s 5d ; blight feed, 2s 3 1 to 2s 4d ; inferior, 2s to 2s 2d per bushel. Barley.—No transactions to repi rt. Grass Seeds.-Nothing doing, Potatoes.—New kidneys are very scare ', and readily commands £il to£l4 per ton.
