WESLEYAN PICNIC.
A picnic in connection with the Wealeyan Church Sunday School was held last Tuesday. About six vehicles left Temuka in the moi-aiDy for the Geraldine Bush,
These contained between seventy and eighty persons, young and old, and on arrival at their destination teß was got ready. This having been disposed of, the party proceeded to amuse themselves in accordance with their various tastes, Some wandered through the bush, whilst others engaged in such games as cricket, swing, dusty miller, kiss-in-the-ring, football, etc. At noon agaia tea was got ready, and the afternoon was similarly speDt, till about 4 p.m. when tea was disoussed again, and at 5 p.m. a start was made for home, which was reached about 8 o'clock, all being well pleased with the day's amusement.
