CtIRISTCHURCIi CORN EXCHANGE. The Corn Exchange report for th« week ending Friday evening, the 7th inst : The market for grain and produce during the week has not shown any material change. Lines of wheat of all classes can scarcely be quitted, and prices quoted below are merely nominal. The depression in oats noticed last week is still more pronounced this week, and there is little inclination to purchase at current prices. Barley fit for malting is conspicuous by its absence, while feed oats are plentiful enough at prices that ought to command sales. Potatoes show no signs of a revival. The latest shipments to Sydney have turned' out indifferent, owing to the lateness of the season, and there is little liklihood of any further orders from that port. The local market is therefore the only outlet, and quotations are difficult to obtain. Values for the week as under : Wheat.—3s to 3s 3d prime milling ; seconds, 2s 6d ; chick-wheat, Is 6d to Is 9d f.o.b. Oats.—Milling, 3s ; short feed, 2s lOd ; long oats, 2s 9d f.o.b. Barley.—Malting 4s ; second quality do, 3s 6d to 3s 9d ; feed, 2s co 2s 3d Christuhurch. Beans and Peas.—3s 3d to 3s 4d for the former, an I the latter, 3s 3d to 3s 6d f.o.b.
