Sydney, Oct. 1. Arrived on the morning of ' Sept. 29th—Waihora. from Auckland. Tlie New South revenue for the quarter ended September 30th, amounted to £1,580,000, being an increase of £190,000 compared with the corresponding period of last year. „ An increase is shown in the receipts from customs, land, railways, and the postal service. '■''-. '-•' Melbourne, Oct. 1. The revenue of this colony last quarter amounted to £1,450,000, an increase of £139,000 compared with the September quarter of last year, The customs revenue increased by £33,000, chiefly owing to the extra duty now levied on spirits. The excise ievenue increased by £14,000, and that from railways by Adelaide, Oct. 1. The revenue of South Australia last quarter amounted to £508,000, an increase of £14,000 compared with the corresponding period of 1883. The customs revenue decreased by £22,000, while railway receipts increased by £26,000.
